Pre-Algebra

Tuesdays, 2:30 - 4pm (CST)

Pre-Algebra is a one-year class.

Students meet once-a-week for 16 weeks in both the Fall and Spring semesters.

Prerequisite: 6th Grade Math

A comprehensive math class to prepare middle-schoolers for Geometry and Algebra I and II.

Single & Multi-Step Equations
Expressions and Inequalities
Ratios and Fractions
Percents and Probabilities
Graphing
Word Problems

Homework is 1 to 2 hours per week.

Semester Projects

Earning the Honors Qualification

Each semester, students complete a 10-week project to broaden their exposure to applied mathematics.

Each project utilizes spreadsheets, budgeting, and Internet research.
